It was with profound sadness that we learned of the death of Anthony Smith, Emeritus Professor in Ethnicity and Nationalism in the Department of Government, this week. Professor Smith’s many important contributions to the field of Ethnicity and Nationalism and the Department of Government have been memorialised in a tribute from Dr John Hutchinson, which can be read on the LSE Condolences Blog.
