The Brexit process has had its share of surprising twists and turns. But even seasoned observers were taken by surprise recently when the Sun reported that "Brexiteers urge Theresa May to extend the transition period". Experts have long agreed that the transition period currently provided for in the Withdrawal Agreement is unlikely to be long enough to successfully negotiate a broad Free ...Trade Agreement (read Association Agreement) between the UK and the EU.
