The marginalisation of women's rights in Northern Ireland, 20 years after the Good Friday Agreement

Pierson, C. (2018). The marginalisation of women's rights in Northern Ireland, 20 years after the Good Friday Agreement.
Copy

April 2018 marks the 20th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement. While often considered a global success in terms of conflict management and institutional reform, Claire Pierson writes that the agreement's success does not extend to women's rights in the region. She writes that gendered-based violence persists and that female participation is distinctly lacking from community and peacebuilding processes.
