In The Global Chancellor: Helmut Schmidt and the Reshaping of the International Order , Kristina Spohr (LSE, International History) reevaluates the Federal Republic of Germany’s fifth chancellor, Helmut Schmidt, from the perspective of his contribution to international diplomacy in the early stages of globalisation.
