Snapshot of Chinese solar innovation

This photograph is reflective of the purpose of my field research in China – that is, to understand the actors, processes and networks that support China’s research efforts into solar technologies. I visited the Chinese Academy of Sciences’ Solar R&D Laboratory, and was pleasantly surprised to see my reflection of taking the picture in the brass plaque. I thought the photograph condensed my two months of field research into a metaphorical image. Now if only writing the PhD was easy!
