This article presents a grounded methodology literature review on the use of mobile devices by people with disabilities. In this article, inclusion in technology is defined and discussed. It is found that little literature is available on the inclusive use of mobile devices in the GCC, even though these technologies are in widespread use in this region. There is however a growing body of literature from Western countries on the use of mobile devices with disabled students; this shows a cultural bias towards the West for the development of theory. The study concludes that more cultural context is needed in researching mobile technologies with disabled students.
