Homes for the future: a new analysis of housing need and demand in England.
Technical Report.
Shelter (Organization), London, UK.
England is facing a severe shortage of affordable homes, a problem that lies at the heart of the country’s housing crisis. As the population increases, this shortage will only get worse, unless we can increase the delivery of affordable homes. Shelter’s new research shows that to meet newly arising need and demand, we must build a greater proportion of social rented and intermediate homes than currently envisaged. Erratum: amendments made to the data in the regional map (inside front cover) and Table 5 (page 14), February 2009.
