Dementia: international comparisons.
University of Kent at Canterbury. Personal Social Services Research Unit.
Taking England as the reference, and looking at a number of other high-income countries, comparisons have been made in relation to: demography; attitudes towards dementia; approaches to diagnosis of dementia; funding arrangements and availability; range and balance of services (including long-term care and nursing home provision), interventions and therapies; role of informal care givers; role of voluntary sector and government services; programmes/services in place especially for older people.
