On reading "Transpositions": a response to Rosi Braidotti's "Transpositions: on nomadic ethics"

Rosi Braidotti's most recent book, Transpositions: on Nomadic Ethics (Braidotti, 2006), continues to develop the author's feminist critical engagement with the world she lives in, and might best be understood as the last in the trilogy following Nomadic Subjects: Embodiment and Sexual Difference in Contemporary Theory (Braidotti, 1994) and Metamorphoses: Towards a Materialist Theory of Becoming (Braidotti, 2002). As in all her work, Braidotti brings together a passion for theory and creativity in order to address the key question of what constitutes a useful political attitude for the social critic interested in having something real to say about the complexities of everyday experience.
