This report by Dr Shakuntala Banaji is contained in deliverable report no.6 of CIVICWEB Young People, the Internet and Civic Participation, a Project co-funded by the European Commission within the Sixth Framework Programme (2002-2006) Project no. 028357. The report contains a series of country-specific descriptive analyses of online civic initiatives that are available to youth in Europe. Samples from seven countries have been analysed: Hungary, the Netherlands, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Turkey and the United Kingdom. The section on the UK is pages 100-121.
