Telling fairy tales about Iraq.
On his recent U.S. tour, Iraqi Prime Minister Ayad Allawi painted a rosy picture of developments in his war-torn country. This charm offensive, orchestrated in part by the White House, lent important political support to President Bush, who has faced sharp criticism from Sen. John Kerry on Iraq. But how much of what Allawi said was accurate, and how much did he leave unsaid?
