The editors conclude by underlining the need for enhanced interdisciplinarity rather than arguing for the existence of a distinct subfield. The various submissions have considered positions and powers but also trajectories and have also emphasised indicators and gone beyond typical monolithic administrative concepts. They conclude with some pointers to future research.
