Parliament still does not have the power to scrutinise the Coronavirus Act 2020 properly.

The Coronavirus Act 2020 enables the government to introduce far-ranging regulations without parliamentary scrutiny. But this is unjustifiable when Parliament is sitting again, says Joelle Grogan (Middlesex University). The new three-tier system is helpful, but still riddled with uncertainties and a lack of transparency.
