Though the annual anthology does have an understandable bias towards topics of interest in Finland, it covers international law in general. Nine essays support the symposium topic Justice Without Borders? Externalizing Criminal Punishment For Past Atrocities. Seven further articles consider such aspects as three dangers for the International Criminal Court, the deterrence argument in international criminal law, prosecuting international crimes in domestic courts, and the limits of the law on the use of force with a case study of Kurds in Turkey and Iraq. In addition, the volume contains eight reviews of recent books and a dissertation, obituaries, and short notes. It is not indexed. Martinus-Nijhoff is an imprint of Brill.
