The forgotten five billion: improving surgical services in low and middle-income countries

This abstract is about my MSc dissertation; a literature review on problems with surgical equipment in LMICs. It draws a comparison to the problems with HIV medication provision and demonstrates how the same approach to tackling that problem can be used effectively to improve surgical equipment provision.
