Greying villages of family planning era China

Painted white is a fragment of the sentence "manage family planning according to law" on a village wall in China. Such pronouncements rub against the realities of couples stretched thin caring for their own children and two sets of elderly parents. In 2016 the so called "one-child policy" was terminated.
