The "agrarian question" in Portugal

For almost half of the 20th century, Portugal was under a dictatorship. My research explores some of the claims made by the opposition to the Estado Novo regime regarding the “Agrarian Question”. Despite growth in both agricultural output and labour productivity, living standards in countryside Portugal failed to improve.
