Abstract
The incoming UK prime minister faces a challenging geopolitical landscape as London looks to balance closer alignment with Washington in the Indo-Pacific with security concerns in Europe. Russia's invasion of Ukraine has reaffirmed London's view that Western security is a precondition to securing foreign policy interests in the Indo-Pacific.
